Ecocide in Ukraine: An Interview with Wouter Veening

Political scientist and president of the Institute for Environmental Security Wouter Veening spoke on the Dutch channel NPO Radio 1 'Met het Oog op Morgen' on 8 December about the ecocide that is taking place in Ukraine.
He also spoke about the Stop Ecocide campaign - as he has been involved in the international criminalization of ecocide since 2011 and was the first to bring Polly Higgins to the Netherlands - and about the possible reason behind the Dutch government's reluctance to include ecocide in the Statute of Rome.
Finally, he touched on the proposed initiative for ecocide legislation that the Party for the Animals is preparing.
